Creating Better School Environment

Many children in the rural areas of Ghana live in poverty. Since the community is very poor, the living and education environment is challenging. What we have noticed through our assessment that many of the children do not continue their education after grade 9 and as a result are not able to become valuable contributors in the community. This leads to homelessness, criminality and other mental health challenges. In the community, the lack of education has led to poor sanitation which has increased hospitalization visits for many health centers.
OnPoint Education aims to inspire learners by changing their environment. We want to end the cycle of poverty. Your investment will renovate dismantled and unsafe schools, create libraries accessible by learners, provide excellent educational resources for teachers, students and the community, and improve the learning environment for many children.
What we have been doing
Re-development of small public schools in rural areas of Ghana to give learners a chance to be safe while learning. Many of the school have no electricity, computers, library or resources to help improve their learning, etc. We have worked with various schools in different part of Ghana by installing electricity, computer centre, borehole for water access for community, educational library for community to use, renovated school spaces, etc.
We need your support to:
1. Complete the other schools in challenging situations,
2. Purchase at least one computer for each class
3. Purchase Classroom desk for schools with no furniture.
4. Purchase resources to support teachers
Your donation will have a profound impact for the families and children in the community who need it most. This will help change the learning environment of a child and inspire a child to be successful as we want no child to be left behind in their learning.
