Mr. Gonzalez, Señor Gonzalez, El Maestro, Mr. G, or just "G", was known for his generosity and love towards others. He always seemed to have the time if you needed a listening ear. He had a dollar if you were a little short. He had a song or a drawing to lift your spirits. He had a prayer if one was needed. He would leave a note on your desk just to let you know he cared. For years he brought the best out of his students through extra work before and after school and even on weekends. But it wasn't only his music lessons that will be remembered by his hundreds and maybe thousands of students - he taught them just as much about how to live.
