Hi all, my name is Zali Morgan and I am a student at Margaret River Senior High School.
Dance is my passion and I love it! I have been dancing for the past 10 years and am a committed dancer in all disciplines including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and lyrical. I am currently a teacher and mentor for 4-12 Year-old students in all of these styles of dance at a dance school located in Busselton.
I have recently auditioned for a part time Certificate II in Dance ((CUA20114) course at APAN headquarters in Perth where I was successful in gaining a position at this prestigious Acadamy.
I dance about 12 hours a week in Busselton and recently just received Leeuwin College of Performances Scholarship entitling me to 6 months (first semester) of classes for no charge. However, due to our current financial situation my family and I are not able to afford the tuition or extra costs required to cpmplete the Certificate II at APAN. I am currently trying to supplement my family with the earnings from my part-time job at Target.
The funds raised will include entry to the course, which are run over four blocks throughout the year and totalling around 271 hours of work including self-study, rehearsals, performances, and dance intensive work-shops with trainers.
The full pricing can be broken down into two parts which include: $1,499 for tuition and $459 (plus additional ticket packages) for performances throughout the year, coming to an approximate total cost of $1,940. On-top of this I will also need funds to help cover the cost of my trips to and from Perth, accommodation and meals.
I am asking for your help to assist me through this time so I do not have to pass up this incredible opportunity. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
