<div>This GoFundMe is for my amazing kid, Zak. He is an incredibly hard working 23yr old. On March 30th Zak was hospitalized after a few weeks of a terrible cough that he couldn't get rid of. The doctors determined that he had a massive tumor in his chest that was pushing on his lungs and heart causing that cough. Zak has since had a biopsy and it was determined that he is fighting; T-Lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. Zak is a strong and very healthy guy so we know that he's going to come out of this on top.

<div>In the meantime he's got a fight ahead. He's been sent to Vancouver to undergo Chemotherapy and treatment. He'll be down there for all of his treatments. He is in hospital for a minimum of 4 weeks then will be looking at staying in Vancouver to be able to continue treatment from 4-12 months. We won't know exactly how long everything is going to take. That will depend on how the cancer responds. He will finish with a bone marrow transplant. This is going to be a long tough fight that he will win. We just want to be sure that he is able to have the best treatment with the most support that we can get for him.

<div>Zak was raised in Cherryville BC, graduated from Charles Bloom in 2019. Since then he worked hard to achieve his red seal in Carpentry. He accomplished this just over a year ago in December of 2023 at the age of 22. An amazing achievement at such a young age and proof of his skill and hard work. We all know that his hard working spirit will help him to beat Cancer

<div>During his fight he has been told that he will not be able to work. We know that this is going to present a financial strain on him. So what we are asking is that if anyone can help him out even a little so that he will be able to focus on healing and beating cancer instead of worrying about the bills which is always his main focus, regardless of how he feels he's always pushed through and is determined to provide for the future that he desires.
