Yuki, the beloved bookshop dog of Tea Olive Books, had a little medical emergency this evening. He became listless/lethargic and began shaking all over. Our regular vet couldn't fit him in before closing, so we rushed him to a local urgent care vet.

Two hours and $1k+ later, they determined it was likely caused by bacteria in his urine. His bloodwork came back okay other than an elevated white blood count. They gave us some amoxicillan and sent us on our way.

Tonight he is resting, but still not himself (he turned down bacon?!). He finally ate a little and drank some water, but has been very slow and careful in his movements. I am hoping a good night's sleep helps, and that the antibiotic begins to work soon.

That said, bookselling pays its own bills, but does not really pay me yet. If you can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.
