Help FlyKickz raise $6K to create a Youth Sneaker Customizing Workshop! These amazing young creatives will not only learn the fundamentals of sneaker customizing to create their pair of custom sneakers but through their common interest in art and sneakers they’ll connect and engage while creatively, emotionally and mentally expressing themselves.
Your donation will help to cover the cost of the Venue, a new pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers for each child to customize, Art Supplies, Artist Assistants, Food/Beverage, a Photographer/ Videographer, Decorations and a DJ.
The purpose of this Summer workshop is to create a fun, relaxing, safe space where kids feel seen and heard while enjoying music, entertainment, food, art & more. This interactive experience will be curated by FlyKickz with the main focus being to motivate and inspire.
Who is FlyKickz?
My name is Dez, I am an artist, creative, active volunteer and lover of art & sneakers; I am also known as FlyKickz, which is a very unique small business that specializes in creating one-of-a-kind art on canvas using upcycled sneakers. (www.IamFlyKickz.com )
Giving back to the community is a cause that I am extremely passionate about. At the height of the Pandemic, I was inspired to utilize the FlyKickz platform to give back to my hometown Trenton, NJ. Since 2020 I have become an active volunteer assisting several local nonprofits with community park & neighborhood clean-ups and I joined Meals on Wheels helping to deliver over 1,300+ meals.
With the help of my amazing supporters, these last three years we have successfully raised over $5K via the “FlyKickz Carebags ” initiative and gathered and distributed over 4,000 items consisting of lunches, hygiene products/necessities, art supplies to young artists and free art workshops for the youth. I have traveled throughout NJ speaking to over 300 young men and women discussing who I am as an artist and businesswoman, sharing my accomplishments and the challenges I have faced and overcome with Hard work, Dedication, Patience, Consistency and Discipline. I am a true believer that when pursuing your Dreams, you must “Let your faith be bigger than your fear.”
FlyKickz receives 1st Grant for Sneaker Customizing Workshop!
In September 2022, “I Am Trenton ” believed in FlyKickz's vision to create this amazing interactive Youth Sneaker Customizing Workshop and awarded me a partial grant! This grant was just the jumpstart we needed and now we only have $6K more to go!
With your donation, we will create a memorable experience that will uplift and inspire each child well beyond the completion of this workshop.
