Bismillah...As Salaamu Alaikum All...UPDATE...In addition to the $4250 on this account, minus $140 charged in processing fees, we have raised the remaining portion of the $6000 needed in offline donation. ALLAHU AKBAR your prayers and donations made it possible to reach our goal and Zarinah is packing and preparing to leave as I type. The mother of two of the other youth traveling with Zarinah will be traveling with the youth and will be chaperoning them and an additional youth for the duration of their stay and she is still working on raising funds for her return flight. She is a single mother and is zakat eligible and any funds collect on this campaign beyond the $4250 already raised will be donated to her to go towards her return flight which is approximately $1600...Thus I am leaving this campaign open but I wanted to be 100% transparent about any further funds collected...Jazak ALLAH Khairin for you support...Sis. Bismillah...As Salaamu Alaikum Family, Friends, & Community...My name is Amelah El-Amin and I am seeking sponsors to assist in facilitating my daughter's aspirations to study Quran & Islam abroad for a year before starting her secular college career. Zarinah, my 16 year old daughter, eagerly managed to graduate high school a year early (2018 vs 2019) as to use what would have been her 12th grade year to get closer to our CREATOR, enhance her knowledge of Quran, the arabic language, and the tenants of Islam. In sha ALLAH, Zarinah along with 3 other youth, have been accepted into Dar Al Zahra in Tarim and is expected to travel no later than the first week of October 2018 so time is of the essence. As a single mother who has raised and homeschooled three daughters, this is surely dua manifesting and an opportunity of a life time for my daughter. SUBHANALLAH!!! In sha ALLAH she will be traveling with family of the other three youth and is being welcomed by the leadership of the community there in Tarim.
ALL funds requested will be used to cover Zarinah's roundtrip airfare, her visas for both Tarim and Jordan (which is where her studies will begin), her housing, her food, tutoring, books, ect.
Though our family/Zarinah is zakat eligible, even beyond that reality, the reward for assisting one of our inner city youth achieve this self initiated goal will surely be a means of reaping a reward beyond what any of us could imagine, as well as a grand benefit to our local community here in the Bay Area.
