<div>Yolanda has spent years pouring into others as a doula, walking alongside families during some of life’s most vulnerable and beautiful moments. A doula’s work is rooted in compassion, advocacy, support, and care. Those who know Yolanda know that this spirit extends far beyond her profession. She is vibrant, generous, uplifting, and always willing to show up for others.

<div>But now, Yolanda needs us to show up for her.

<div>For years, Yolanda has quietly battled lupus, a chronic illness that severely impacted her kidneys and requires daily dialysis while she waits for a kidney donor. Even while navigating her own health challenges, she continued caring for others, serving families, and pouring into her community.

<div>Then, at the end of April, everything changed.
</div>

</div>
<div>Yolanda became critically ill and was hospitalized. After further testing, she received a Colon Cancer diagnosis that altered the course of her life: 2nd degree Colon Adenocarcinoma

</div>
<div>Already navigating dialysis treatments and chronic illness, she was forced to immediately stop working, take leave from her position, and pause caring for prenatal clients so she could focus fully on treatment, surgery recovery, and regaining her strength.
</div>

<div>Today, Yolanda is recovering from surgery and continuing to fight with courage and resilience. She still has fight in her. But healing requires more than strength. It requires support.
