UPDATE: Your donation can still make a difference! Thanks to so much generosity, I am thrilled to have met my fundraising goal and want to extend the impact of this campaign. Any donation made beyond my goal will go to furthering this cause, helping to bring more cancer warriors to attend the Gala event and further support the work of Be Well Therapy. Help me support a great cause AND provide a night of enjoyment to 10+ men and women impacted by cancer!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 34 and over the past three years I have endured chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy and 11 surgeries. Be Well's Yoga for Cancer Recovery program has been a gift to me, helping me to increase my mobility, decrease my stress-levels and focus on my well-being. Their specially-trained yoga teachers are so caring and have done so much to help me through my cancer journey.
So for all Be Well has given me, I would like to give back. As a cancer survivor I have learned it is important to live every day to the fullest! That's why I am looking to raise $1,300 to provide 10+ cancer patients/survivors and caregivers with a night out to attend Be Well's First Annual Holiday Gala on November 17, 2018.
Please consider making a donation to help me reach my goal. In addition to helping provide 10+ cancer warriors and caregivers with a night of fun, your donation will go to support Be Well Therapy, Inc., a 501(3)c nonprofit organization providing donation-based Yoga for Cancer Recovery classes in San Diego County. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 1.7 million people will be diagnosed with new cases of cancer in 2018. Yoga and meditation programs, like the ones that Be Well offers, have been shown to have a significant impact on helping individuals battling cancer to deal with the physical, mental and emotional side effects of treatment.
