My name is Ymani Hampton.
I’m a third-year Music Recording Technology major at Hampton University. I’m a musician, artist, producer, engineer, singer, songwriter, and pianist.
I’ve been given the incredible privilege and opportunity to participate in a two-week intensive program in Paris, France. This prestigious international residency is designed for exceptional performing artists and will take place from July 17 to July 31.
This program includes mentorship, master classes, workshops, lessons, and performance opportunities that will stretch me creatively and professionally. In addition to applied lessons and master classes, we will attend theory classes and experience daily concerts in the evenings, along with formal performances on the weekends. The final concert will be held at the American Church in Paris.
I want to go because I truly believe this experience will push me into a new level of skill, ability, and confidence as a musician. It will prepare me for the professional world in a way that goes beyond the classroom and give me the exposure and growth I need to walk fully in my purpose.
As grateful as I am for this opportunity, I am also faced with the financial reality of making it happen. The total cost is $7,000, which includes travel, passport, housing, meals, transportation upon arrival, and tuition.
Any support you give is not just a donation, but an investment in my future. I do not take this opportunity lightly, and I am deeply grateful for any contribution, no matter the amount.
Thank you so much for your support.
