<div><strong>Yakima Immigrant Response Network is seeing an increase in target detentions of our immigrant neighbors in recent months as ICE posts more agents into the Yakima Valley.</strong> The affected families are losing their main source of income overnight while also facing the overwhelming challenge of locating a loved one and navigating a complicated detention system. The toll is not only emotional but also immediate and financial.

<div>This is where we, as a community, must come together. This fundraising campaign will support our valued immigrant neighbors through this challenging time. Your donation will provide the funds to help cover basic needs such as:

<li>Gas cards to help transport family members to visit the detained individual at the Tacoma ICE processing center or to bring a suitcase of clothing to them prior to deportation
</li>
<li>Monthly deposits in the detainee's phone and commissary accounts at the ICE Processing Center in Tacoma so that they can call their family to make plans and purchase snacks.
</li>
<li>An initial consultation with an immigration lawyer to determine if they have an avenue to get the detained family member released
</li>
<li>Groceries and requested items for newborns/toddlers.
</li>
<li>Passport applications and assistance obtaining vital paperwork so that the family can reunite in their home country, if they so choose.

<div>All funds will be dispersed by the Yakima Immigrant Response Network (YIRN). YIRN is a local grassroots, non-profit organization of volunteers operating since 2017 and dedicated to providing humanitarian support and resources to our immigrant families. We are under the fiscal sponsorship of Between the Ridges, so donations are tax deductible.

Las familias afectadas están perdiendo su principal sostén de la noche a la mañana mientras enfrentan el difícil desafío de encontrar a un ser querido y de navegar por un complicado sistema de detención. El costo no solo es emocional sino también inmediato y financiero.
