<div>I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my 23-year-old sister-in-law, <strong>Xochilt Armenta</strong>, who was diagnosed with cancer while just 12 weeks pregnant.

<div>On May 5th, 2025, at 31 weeks pregnant, she was flown to the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, for a 40-minute MRI. The scan confirmed she had multiple large mediastinal lymph nodes, a mass in her chest wall, and multiple liver masses.

<div>Two days later, on May 7th, 2025, Xochilt was admitted to CRMC for a biopsy of the chest wall lymph node. Doctors determined it was best to induce labor so she could begin cancer treatment immediately.
</div>

<div>On May 12th, after a difficult delivery, Xochilt welcomed her beautiful baby girl via C-section at 2:52 a.m., weighing 3 lbs. 14 oz. and measuring 17 ¾ inches long. The very next day, biopsy results confirmed Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. <strong>What should have been the happiest time for a first-time mother quickly turned into a whirlwind of fear, uncertainty, and urgent medical decisions.</strong> As Xochilt prepared for surgery to have a chemotherapy port placed, her newborn daughter began treatment in the NICU.

<div>As of August 8th, 2025, Xochilt has completed six rounds of chemotherapy, enduring severe side effects that make it impossible for her to work and financially support herself and her baby.
</div>

<div>A partir del 8 de agosto de 2025, Xochilt ha completado seis rondas de quimioterapia, soportando graves efectos secundarios que le impiden trabajar y poder mantenerse económicamente junto con su bebé.
