<div>This fundraiser has been created to support <strong>William Negron</strong>, a dedicated paramedic with Northwell Health at Staten Island University Hospital who is currently facing a serious and life-altering medical battle. After years of serving his community and caring for others in their most critical moments, he is now the one in need of support.

<div>Will began his EMS career on April 1, 2007, and has been a full-time member of our department for 19 years. In total, he has spent over 31 years working on an ambulance, serving both the private sector and hospital-based EMS systems. Throughout his career, he has been known as a reliable, hardworking, and genuinely kind person—someone who gets along with everyone and is always there when others need help.

<div>In early 2025, during a routine MRI, doctors discovered two tumors in his liver. He was referred to a liver specialist at Mount Sinai, where he underwent radiation treatment in June 2025 to target the tumors. Thankfully, that procedure was successful.

<div>However, in February 2026, doctors discovered another tumor, and he now faces the possibility of additional treatment. He is scheduled for another MRI in May to determine next steps. It is possible that future aggressive treatment, including a liver transplant, may be required. Something Will hopes to avoid, but the weight of that possibility has been incredibly difficult to carry.

<div>While he has been approved for FMLA to protect his job and allow him to miss work as needed, he has quickly exhausted his PTO and sick time, resulting in significantly reduced income while everyday expenses continue to build.
