<div>This GoFundMe has been created to help two very special ladies who were born with the very rare condition called Craniofacial Differences. Wesley and M.E. Sanders, now 28, are twins who not only share this condition but also share their lives and story to help other children dealing with these challenges. With a diagnosis from birth, children born with this condition face years of major surgery, with most children having 20 to 30 surgeries before they are even 10 years old.

<div>Sadly, Wesley is back in the hospital, dealing with a severe infection in both her brain and stomach associated with the shunt that runs from the base of her brain to her stomach to help manage fluid buildup around the brain. This shunt was surgically placed when Wesley was only 8 months old. It is challenging to say that it is unusual for an infection to develop in this manner, mainly because the condition is so rare and every case is so unique. Doctors are constantly learning about the condition as each medical emergency arises.

<div>Welsey has been in the hospital for almost 10 days, fighting off the infection and recovering from the emergency brain surgery on the first day to remove the shunt. Once the infection is under control, Wesley will have to undergo a second major surgery to reimplant a new shunt, followed by more antibiotics as she recovers.

<div>The financial cost to the family is staggering, encompassing not only medical expenses but also travel, food, and the loss of time at work (yes, both of these amazing ladies work); the costs continue to accumulate. <div>Your prayers are urgently needed!  There are two 28-year-old beautiful young ladies, twins, who were born with Craniofacial Differences, Wesley and M.E.. Since birth, both of these amazing ladies have endured countless surgeries, truly countless as they both stopped counting years ago.  For years, these remarkable twins have lived together, helping one another and finding ways to enjoy every aspect of life and the blessings God gives to all of us.  They truly approach each day as a gift from God and make the most of His beautiful world, which He made for all of us.  They have been an inspiration to an untold number of children who face the challenges of Cranial Facial Differences, as well as showing all who know them how to make the most out of the blessings God gives to all of us.

<div>Now Wesley and M.E. need our help.  Over a week ago, Wesley was rushed to the hospital suffering from extreme pain in her head, vomiting, and dizziness.  The doctors quickly learned that she had a severe infection in her brain related to a stent that was implanted in her brain when she was only 8 months old, which leads to her stomach and helps manage fluid buildup around the brain.  They performed emergency surgery to remove the shunt, and for over a week, she has been in the hospital, on the strongest of antibiotics, to help combat what the doctors are calling a “Superbug”.  The doctors are working hard to get the infection under control, and then they will have to do another surgery to implant a new shunt in her brain.

<div>Please lift up your prayers to our Heavenly Father for Wesley; she needs a miracle.  Pray for healing and peace. Pray for the easing of her suffering as she recovers from this hardship.  Pray for her twin M.E., who has been by Wesley’s side every day of their lives.  Pray for M.E. to continue to have strength as she fights alongside her sister.  Pray that God gives her the comfort she needs and lifts her spirits.  Please pray for the twins' mother, their two brothers, and all of their family.  May God’s peace and love wrap around them as they watch over Wesley as she heals.  Pray for the entire medical team as they work to save Wesley.  May God give them all the knowledge, faith, skill, wisdom, and courage they need to restore Wesley’s health.
