<div>The news was devastating. Yet I am meeting this diagnosis with as much courage and strength as I can, trying to stay grounded for myself and those around me.

<div>While I am fortunate to have medical expenses covered through a health grant, I am currently facing this crisis with zero savings in the bank and am unable to work.
</div>

</div>
<div>A group of long-term friends, many from high school, have jump-started this fundraiser to help keep a roof over my head and cover daily living costs during my treatment and recovery.

<div>How It Began
</div>
<div>June 17: I woke up in the middle of the night with soreness in my right pectoral area. By morning, a pronounced, highly painful lump had developed. After hours of overwhelm and uncertainty about medical costs, a local organization helped guide me safely to the Emergency Room.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Late June: The ER immediately referred me to a surgeon. I secured the Broward Health Care grant to cover the medical costs, saw the surgeon on June 23, and underwent a biopsy on June 30.
</div>

</div>
<div>July 7: Received my biopsy results confirming the diagnosis and establishing the treatment roadmap.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Road Ahead &amp; How Funds Will Be Used
</div>
<div>Before starting chemotherapy in early September, I must first undergo oral surgery to remove 5 to 6 teeth that present potential infection risks during treatment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Following dental surgery, I will begin an estimated 20-week chemotherapy treatment plan after my mouth heals. Approximate 1-2 weeks following the oral surgery.
</div>

<div>Because I cannot work during this time, all funds raised will go directly toward my essential living expenses over these 20 weeks:

<div>Housing: Rent to keep me stable and housed.
</div>

<div>Basic Utilities &amp; Bills: Phone bill and car insurance (essential for coordinating my medical appointments).

<div>Household Necessities: Groceries, toilet paper, and basic life needs.
</div>

<div>Pet Care: Food and litter for my beloved feline companions.
</div>
