Local hospitals are overwhelmed, and access to basic necessities such as clean drinking water and food is critically limited. Witnessing the reality faced by so many displaced people compels us to act.

Venezuela currently lacks the economic resources, specialized rescue equipment, and public health infrastructure needed to respond to a disaster of this scale. Hospitals were already experiencing major shortages prior to the earthquakes, and collapsed roads and disrupted communications have further limited the reach of the response.
