<div>Our class recently finished reading a powerful novel titled <em>A Long Walk to Water</em>. This story helped us recognize the immense privilege we have when it comes to accessing clean, safe water, a privilege not shared by many people around the world, including those in South Sudan, where the novel takes place.

<div>We decided to use this privilege and our newfound knowledge to raise money for wells in South Sudan. 
</div>
<div>Salva Dut, the main character in the book, is the founder of a nonprofit organization called Water for South Sudan. Each year, Salva hosts a fundraiser known as the Iron Giraffe Challenge, inviting schools from around the world to participate. The goal of this challenge is to raise at least $1,000 to support efforts to make clean water accessible to all.
