<div>Hello, my name is Kyle Quiroz and I am the founder of the new nonprofit, Warrior Waves. About ten years ago, God put a dream in my heart to take kids from rural reservations surfing. I grew up in Southern California, and when I got to college, I started feeling that Jesus was calling me to serve on the Wind River Reservation, home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Nation. As I began to serve in this community, I began to think about what it would be like to take students on a trip to have experiences that would broaden their horizons and show them that they can experience new things and overcome hard things when they have the right mindset. Not just to do it, but with joy! As a believer, all my trips will be faith-based. The vision has grown larger to take kids to Hume Lake Christian Camps and to the Disneyland Resort. <strong>My heart behind this is to set a foundation for these kids that attend.</strong> To start out, a group of twelve students. This will mirror the twelve disciples. I want these twelve individuals to feel a part of a community that grows together in accountability and in their pursuit of Christ with Godly relationships. I am hoping that the camp will help them connect with Christ on a deeper level in His mighty creation. Hume was a place where I really came to step into my committed relationship with Christ. I also hope through these other fun experiences that it will bond the group of students closer together.

<div>As they return, I desire to see them grow in outreach and evangelism, truly showing others that Christ can change you and He is the savior and brings us grace, freedom, and new life. That others in the community will see the new lives and how they've changed. That they would maintain their Biblical relationships while growing the local body of Christ, fulfilling the Great Commission and discipleship locally.

<div>Lastly, each student is $1,600 a person. This pays for gas and transportation, the cost of camp, food, surfing lessons, a one-day park hopper ticket to Disneyland, and emergency fees. <strong>The total cost will be more than what I am raising, but I am hoping to get some camp scholarships.</strong> The funds will go straight into the Warrior Waves account and will not be accessed by my personal account. My hope is to also grow the organization so that it can continue over the years and we can get more support.
