Help Wanda Get Back on the Road♥️
On February 27th, our mom, Wanda Harrison, was involved in an accident caused by hitting a deer. Thankfully, she was not physically injured, but her vehicle was badly damaged.
Wanda is in her 70s and lives alone on a very limited, fixed Social Security income. Because of her financial situation, she carries only the minimum liability insurance required by law.
Unfortunately, this means the cost of repairs is entirely out of pocket.
The repair estimates are already over $2,000. If additional damage is discovered (which is likely) we may need to look into purchasing a replacement vehicle under $3,000.
Either option is simply beyond her & her families financial reach right now with recent circumstances.
Her car is not a luxury, it’s her independence. She relies on it to:
-Attend doctor appointments
-Pick up groceries and essentials
-Visit her grandchildren every couple of weeks
Losing her vehicle has left her devastated and unsure of what to do next. At her age, losing the ability to drive would significantly impact her mental and emotional well-being.
As her family, we truly wish we could cover this cost ourselves as this is something we do not want to ask for help for. Unfortunately, due to recent circumstances, we are not in a position to do so at this time.
Any donation, no matter the amount...will go directly toward repairing or replacing her vehicle and restoring her independence.
If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean a lot to us.
Thank you for helping our mom.
