<div><strong>Was passiert ist</strong>

<div>Hai in den Mai 2026 konnte nicht stattfinden. Das Festival wurde extrem kurzfristig, etwa eine Stunde vor offiziellem Beginn, aufgrund einer gerichtlichen Entscheidung abgesagt.

<div>Für alle Beteiligten war das ein Schock: Gäste, Crew, Artists, Helfer:innen, Freelancer, Dienstleister:innen und alle Menschen, die teilweise schon seit Tagen und Wochen aufgebaut, vorbereitet und gearbeitet hatten.

<div>Die meisten Kosten eines Festivals entstehen, bevor das erste Ticket gescannt wird: Deko, Equipment, Produktion, Bühnen, Sanitäter, Security, Toiletten, Duschen, Infrastruktur, Logistik und viele weitere Dinge, die notwendig sind, bevor ein Festival überhaupt öffnen kann.

<div>Das gilt auch für ein Festival, das nicht stattfinden konnte.

<div><strong>Warum wir um Unterstützung bitten</strong>

<div>Die wirtschaftliche Lage rund um Waldfrieden ist ernst. Aktuell wird geprüft, ob und wie eine Insolvenz abgewendet werden kann.

<div>Wir können und werden nicht versprechen, dass diese Kampagne allein den Waldfrieden retten kann. Aber jede Unterstützung kann helfen, akute finanzielle Belastungen zu reduzieren, Zeit zu gewinnen und Handlungsspielraum zu schaffen.

<div>Die über diese Kampagne gesammelten Gelder sollen nach folgender Priorität verwendet werden:

<div>1. Unterstützung direkt betroffener Crew-Mitglieder, Freelancer und kleinerer Dienstleister:innen, die für das Festival gearbeitet oder Leistungen erbracht haben und durch die Absage ernsthaft betroffen sein können.

<div>2. Unterstützung unmittelbar betroffener Menschen und kleiner Unternehmen im Zusammenhang mit dem abgesagten Festival, um akute finanzielle Schäden zu reduzieren.

<div>Hai in den Mai 2026 could not take place. The festival was cancelled at extremely short notice, about one hour before the official start, due to a court decision.

<div>For everyone involved, this was a shock: guests, crew, artists, helpers, freelancers, service providers, and all the people who had already been building, preparing, and working for days and weeks.
</div>

<div>Most festival costs arise before the first ticket is scanned: decoration, equipment, production, stages, medics, security, toilets, showers, infrastructure, logistics, and many other things that are needed before a festival can even open its gates.

<div>This also applies to a festival that could not take place.

<div><strong>Why we are asking for support</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>The financial situation around Waldfrieden is serious. It is currently being reviewed whether and how insolvency can be avoided.

<div>We cannot and will not promise that this campaign alone can save Waldfrieden. But every contribution can help reduce acute financial pressure, gain time, and create room to act.

<div>Our goal is to support directly affected people, crew members, freelancers, and smaller service providers who have already worked, delivered, built, prepared, or provided services.

<div>The funds raised through this campaign are intended to be used in the following order of priority:

<div>1. Support for directly affected crew members, freelancers, and smaller service providers who worked for the festival or provided services and may be seriously affected by the cancellation.

<div>2. Support for directly affected people and small businesses connected to the cancelled festival, in order to reduce acute financial damage.

<div>3. Support for measures that help preserve Waldfrieden as a cultural place and support the future of this community.

<div>Our goal is to use the funds responsibly and transparently. We will document how the money is used and share updates as openly as possible.
