Support Wakeem of Oak Fair Market after Break In
Donation protected
If you live in the Lower Haight or nearby the intersection of Oak & Scott streets, you probably know Wakeem Shehadeh (AKA Jack). He is the owner of the Oak Fair Market convenience store and has become a staple of the neighborhood. Almost everyday you can see Wakeem standing outside his shop waving, smiling, and making conversation with neighbors.
Unfortunately, last Saturday (May 30th), Oak Fair Market was broken into through the window of the handicap door. Money was stolen from the register along with alcohol, cigarettes, and other products. Wakeem would never ask for anything from his neighbors, but this is our chance to show up for him!
I've lived in Lower Haight for the last 8 years so I know how much this neighborhood cares about Wakeem. I'm hoping to raise enough money to help him make up for what was stolen. Please consider making a donation or sharing this page with friends or family in the neighborhood. When the campaign is complete, I'll deliver the check to Wakeem with 100% of the proceeds and upload photos for verification.
