Support Wade's Fight Against Legionnaire's Disease

Donation protected
On February 25th, 2020, my sister's father-in-law, Wade Snider, was admitted to Elkhart General Hopsital for double pneumonia and sepsis. His condition quickly worsened and he was diagnosed with Legionnaire's disease.  He is now on life support and is in critical condition. He needs to be transported across state lines to University of Chicago Medical Center so he can receive specialized care to help continue his fight.

Wade is a loving husband and wonderful father to two sons and one daughter-in-law (my sister). He is an advanced EMT and Battalion Chief for Elkhart City Fire Department. On his days off from the fire department he works at Dyksen and Son's Construction. He attended Wakarusa Missionary Church for many years until his children went off to college. He then began attending Granger Community Church in order to keep Sunday service with his family a tradition.

The Sniders are upstanding citizens and loyal friends. Wade has served his community as a firefighter for over 25 years. He is a highly trained member of the MABAS 201 Technical Rescue Team and was named EFD's Firefighter of the Year in 2014.  He shares his passion and talents for helping others as an instructor for many certification classes such as HAZMAT, water rescue, firefighter 1 & 2, and more.  Wade's wife, Jan, has also served their community as a public elementary school teacher for 28 years. She is on numerous committees and is always willing to help out with fundraisers and events. I am proud to call the Sniders the newest addition to our family, and I would love nothing more than to help them in their time of need because I know they would do the same for us.

Right now, we are asking for donations to assist with the accruing medical bills as well as meals, transportation, and lodging for his family so they can travel from Nappanee, Indiana to Chicago, Illinois to be with Wade while he continues his fight against Legionnaire's. We are also anticipating extensive physical therapy and rehabilitation needs as Wade's condition improves which will definitely be costly.

Please donate to help a man who has dedicated his life to helping others. Any amount helps!
