<div>My name is Emma Shewbridge. On May 11th, my mom Vicki and I were going out for Mother’s Day when she started showing signs of stroke. She went to the hospital the same day and stayed there for a week until she came home, still having occasional bouts of numbness, balance issues, and speech difficulties.

<div>On June 2nd, she exhibited even worse symptoms and was taken to the hospital again, having had another, much more severe stroke.

<div>Mom is now unable to leave her bed, having very little function in her right leg, zero function in her right arm, and some speech difficulty. She has since made a little progress, but is currently living in a nursing home, doing rehab to regain her lost functions so she can come back home to me and our pets.
