The Backstory
My sister-in-law Vicki was in a head-on car accident while on her way to her overnight nursing job. The car was completely destroyed and she broke her back in five places. Thankfully after spinal surgery, her prognosis is very good though she'll have a long recovery period.
Vicki has two adorable daughters, Olivia who is 2 and a half and Amelia who is 6 months. Part of Vicki's recovery limits her to lifting no more than 5 pounds for 6 weeks, then prolonged physical therapy. This will keep her from caring for her children and from working at her nursing job.
How you can Help
Vicki and my brother Josh are limited in their childcare and work options during Vicki's recovery. They would be immensely grateful for any contributions you would be able to give them. All contributions would be used for:
1. Childcare expenses (diapers, baby food, etc.)
2. Medical expenses
3. Cost of living expenses (rent, food, and utilities).
Your support would mean the world to Vicki and Josh. Those of you with children know how unbelievably hard it would be not to be able to pick up your babies or care for them.
