Vibianno is a powerful voice for the LGBTQ+ community and one of the most compassionate and courageous people I know. His advocacy is rooted in lived experience, resilience, and a deep sense of justice. Over the years, Vibianno has worked tirelessly to create safe spaces for trans and queer youth, pushing for inclusive policies and offering support where it’s most needed. Whether it’s through organizing marches, mentoring young activists, or challenging harmful legislation, he leads with purpose and clarity. He speaks up even when it’s dangerous, even when it costs him—because he believes that everyone deserves dignity and safety. Vibianno’s work gives hope to so many, and he’s changed lives—mine included.

 After two years on the waitlist, Vibianno has finally been given a surgery date for gender affirming surgery at Massachusetts Brigham and Women's Hospital. This surgery is not about vanity—it’s about survival, dignity, and finally feeling at home in his body. For many trans people, gender affirming surgery is essential. It can mean relief from years of dysphoria, reduced mental health struggles, and the freedom to live safely and confidently. Even with progress in trans rights, access to surgery is still unequal. Most insurance plans deny or delay coverage, and out-of-pocket costs can be overwhelming, especially for those who are already facing systemic barriers.

 Vibianno faces significant financial barriers, including travel for caregivers, housing for recovery in Massachusetts, and insurance gaps.
