<div>On Monday, July 6, our family spent a beautiful day together in Idaho Falls. What should have ended as a happy family memory turned into an unimaginable tragedy.

<div>While traveling home, five members of our family were involved in a devastating fatal head on collision near Ririe, Idaho. Four were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, while one was life flighted and remains critically injured. In a matter of seconds, their lives changed completely.

<div>Many people in our community know and love Veronica Solorio. Some know her from the Starbucks inside Target in Jackson, where she works hard and makes some of the best coffee around. Others know her simply as the fun, loving, and hardworking woman she is.
</div>

<div>Veronica is the type of person who always shows up when someone needs help, whether they are family, a close friend, a coworker, or simply someone going through a difficult time. Even if you are not related by blood, Veronica has a way of making you feel like family.
</div>

<div>Veronica suffered multiple fractures and other injuries that will require continued treatment, time away from work, and rehabilitation.
</div>

<div>Her son, Jair, and youngest daughter, Vanesa, also suffered fractures, lung contusions, and lacerations to their faces. They are both beginning what may be a long and painful recovery involving continued medical care, follow-up appointments, and time away from their normal lives.
</div>

<div>Veronica’s brother, Lalo, suffered the most extensive injuries, including multiple fractures, broken ribs, injuries to both legs, spinal fractures, and internal injuries. He has already undergone major surgery and remains critically ill while receiving intensive medical care. His recovery is expected to take a year or longer and may require additional procedures and extensive rehabilitation.

<div>Their cousin, Pamela, suffered serious facial and jaw injuries, dental trauma, fractures, and a small brain bleed. She faces continued medical care and an estimated recovery of up to six months. Because she was visiting from Mexico, she will be unable to return home or return to work as planned while she receives treatment and recovers.
