<div>Vanja Stankovic was born premature. He was meant to be a triplet but unfortunately his brother did not survive birth and has only one sibling left. From the first moment of his life, his medical battle started. From birth he was resuscitated, intubated  and transferred to neonatology; and, after he was treated for dialyses. Thanks to many doctors' efforts he was taken off dialyses but continues to have permanent kidney damage. After an agonizing month was diagnosed with cerebral palsy

<div>From his first day of life he started with rehabilitation and with a lot of work, learned  how to walk . He's had surgery of  selective fasciotomy and extension of tendons. This surgery has helped him and partially stops the muscle spasm but,

<div>as Vanja continues to grow, his condition is only getting worse and he is in need of daily physical therapy and rehabilitation. Vanja is very smart and a mentally strong boy and for the most part he is also aware of his diagnosis. His biggest wish is to walk as every other kid and to play with his friends.
