Hi everyone! My name is Valerie. I’m the founder, and currently sole employee, of Val’s Pals Childcare!

After babysitting for nearly 10 years, and teaching Preschool for two more, I found a lot of faults and flaws in the professional childcare environment. I couldn’t stand by a lot of what goes on behind the scenes at daycares and babysitting agencies—both public and private. I came close to thinking leaving my passion was the only remedy…

That’s when Val’s Pals was born! Built on the morals of Gentle Parenting, Play Theory, and Montessori’s Method, Val’s Pals puts an emphasis on engagement, independence, and overall positive youth development and facilitation.

Val’s Pals has given me the opportunity to bring true, affordable, and accessible childcare back into the hearts and homes of South Carolina for families of all shapes and sizes. Helping fund Val’s Pals is helping fund: books, activities, art supplies, and more to keep the children of SC engaged, smiling, growing, and learning.
