 My son Ty had his e-bike stolen this weekend, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Just a few months ago, Ty was declared legally blind from a disease he’s been bravely fighting for years. The disease has stolen most of his eyesight. He can no longer drive and had to surrender his driver’s license. <strong>His e-bike was the only reliable way he could still get himself to work and keep helping his family.</strong>

 Ty and his wife have 3 small children who depend on them. On top of the responsibility of raising them, <strong>he has to get expensive injections in his eyes every six weeks just to slow the disease and keep from going completely blind.</strong> Those treatments are costly, and now he’s suddenly facing the unexpected expense of replacing the bike that gave him his independence.

 <strong>This theft has left him feeling helpless at a time when he already has so much stacked against him.</strong> Ty would never ask anyone for help himself — he’s too proud and too focused on taking care of his family.
