Support Tyeler's Fight Against Brain Cancer

Okay, folks… for those of you who don’t know Tyeler—he’s Octavia’s dad (my brother-in-law)… and for those of you that do know him, you know he’s one of those one-of-a-kind kind of guys that are down-to-earth, funny, and an all-around nice guy—the kind this world needs more of!!!

Welp—last week he went to the hospital up in Ruidoso to get checked out after experiencing some worrisome symptoms, and they gave him some of the scariest news anyone could ever ask to receive—they found a tumor on his brain/brainstem. They transferred him up to Albuquerque and cared for him in the ICU until they could operate and hopefully remove it for biopsy.

That operation happened today… and, after nearly 10 hours under the knife, he made it to recovery. The doctor came out to let my sister know how it went. Not good news, unfortunately… judging by the way the tumor is growing up into his brain and the way it all looked, the surgeon expects the biopsy results to come back as a high-grade malignant cancer—the very last thing we ever wanted to hear.

As he starts this fight for his life and we start the fight to keep their family whole, it’s going to weigh down on their shoulders, financially, as he was the breadwinner for their household. I know a lot of you who knew Tyeler and my sister growing up have asked how you can help them out, so here we go.

All funds raised will go to them for medical expenses, travel expenses, household expenses, etc. to help relieve their burden as much as possible as he will probably be off work for quite some time.
