<div>Hello, I am the step-mother of Trey Beauchamp. Trey is a 16 year old boy that loves sports, has good grades, great with smaller family members and the perfect child to say the least.  Trey has recently been diagnosed with cancer, we are unsure of the kind and stage at this point, we know that it is affecting his whole body and destroying his bones. His father is a dedicated worker at SMOKE restaurant located in Mahnomen, MN, and I am a K-6 Post-Secondary preparation, behavior support, and social skills/self-regulation instruction coordinator at the Naytahwaush Community and Charter School. Tracy is trying to make ends meet by going to work when he is available or family members are assisting currently with costs as well as childcare for our other 5 small children. We just had a baby so we are just coming off of paternity and maternity leave and I chose to take off to care for our son.

<div>In late October-early November we took him into a visit at Indian Health Services where they diagnosed Trey with runner-man's knee. They encouraged physical therapy, it later on got to be too painful for Trey so we took him back into IHS where they diagnosed him again with a possible miniscus or MCL tear. Finally decided to do an X-Ray and revealed something that encouraged them to do an MRI in White Earth. They encouraged a CT scan after the MRI, his grandfather Paul took him to Detroit Lakes Essentia where we found out that it was cancer. On December 24th we had to go to Roger Maris to begin this unexpected diagnosis journey, we then found out it was an aggressive tumor in his pelvis. December 26th we got him in to do the biopsy, where a port was also placed. On December 28th we took him into Mahnomen Emergency department for having difficulties with breathing and they had revealed the cancer reached his sternum and manubrium. December 29th- January 1st we attended multiple appointments throughout the day, the later appointment involved a PET scan which revealed that it was in his left skull base, almost every vertebrate, sternum, pelvis, both arms, and legs. We do not know what our futures are going to look like, but we know it is gonna be a long, difficult journey for our family as we both have full time jobs and I am currently also a full time student trying to better our family. Due to Indian Health Services in White Earth Nation's medical negligence, our son has a lifelong disease that is taking over his body and life. We are asking for help because the disease is spreading rapidly and we would like to get him the best treatments as possible. We are not the people that usually would ask for help but we are really backed into a corner and need some help. We are unsure of the type and the stage of his progressing cancer. His father already is back at work (by choice due to financial needs). Anything helps and everything is appreciated, as this is something no child deserves to have.
