Support trans youth & their families at Mardi Gras

Parents for Trans Youth Equity (PTYE NSW) are once again marching with their kids and friends in this years' Mardi Gras Parade. This is the only group in NSW who are community run by and for families with trans and gender diverse kids. They do incredible work year round not only being amazing parents but also doing vast amounts of advocacy and consulting work to make the future of trans and gender diverse kids brighter! They are committed to empowering trans youth and their families. I've been lucky enough to connect with this group through my work with Fambo: Queer Art for Kids & Families (and from being a parent myself) and I'm wanting to help them with their float, which has not been successful in receiving funding of any kind. I am making a contribution of $500 on behalf of my family and Fambo and urge others in my community to give even the smallest amount towards helping these awesome folks cover the costs of their float and making this night for their kids a memorable and joyous one. All funds will go directly to covering hard costs which will include: T-shirts, Props, Signage, PA System and Ute Hire. It might not be the biggest float in Mardi Gras but it is going to be a really special one with some of the most courageous people I know.
P.S If you would like to be a part of the float and march with PTYE please send me a message - priority to trans and gender diverse young people and their families.
