<div>Antony is home now with his wife Shannon and his kitty cat Tinkerbell.  He is resting and on the road to recovery.  He will have to go back to the hospital periodically for appointments and possibly future treatments but in the meantime he is so grateful for all of the support he has received.  Morale is high, he is thinking positively and is now able to take time to heal. Thank you all so much from the Ustel and Buschau family.

<div>On March 24, 2025, my brother-in-law, Antony (Tony) Ustel, suffered a sudden and devastating brain bleed due to a previously undiagnosed congenital condition. Just two days later, another brain bleed occurred, and his doctors warned that meaningful recovery was unlikely.
</div>

<div>But in true Tony fashion, he has defied the odds. Though his journey is just beginning, he has shown signs of limited communication, even though he remains unable to open his eyes. He is currently in the ICU at the very hospital where he has dedicated nearly 20 years of his life as a Health Care Aide, caring for patients at their most vulnerable.
</div>

<div>Tony has spent his career supporting others—now, it's our turn to support him and his wife, Shannon Ustel (Buschau). As a self-employed hairstylist, Shannon does not have access to paid leave, yet she is determined to be by Tony’s side as he fights for recovery. The financial strain of lost income will be overwhelming.
