On July 20, 2017, my brother Tom Nickerson was involved in a horrific moped accident that involved a vehicle. Tom suffered multiple internal injuries, including brain trauma, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung. Tom is currently being kept on paralytic drugs while his doctors frantically work to save his life. Each day Tom’s family clings to the hope that he will overcome his injuries and be able to go home to them.
Tom and his wife Kris, along with his children, Courtney, TJ, Nathan, Christian, and stepchildren Yvonne and Cortney, have overcome so many challenges throughout the years. Tom fought for his sobriety and has been sober since 2012. Despite the fact that his seizures have prevented him from working, he volunteers and works closely with his local AA group in order to empower others to regain their sobriety as well. Tom has been fighting hard for his disability to cope with his seizures, while his wife Kris works very hard to support their family.
This accident has prevented Kris from working and is hitting the family hard. We are asking that you help us raise funds and offer up prayers for Tom and his family. Every penny will help provide Kris with the financial support she needs to help with medical expenses, spend time at the hospital, and ensure the family will be able to maintain their home and keep a roof over their heads.
