LET´S HELP OUR PEOPLE IN SRI LANKA!
Our kite school has been already shut down for nine months due to Pandemia, and we don´t know when we will be able to operate again.
We have more than 12 families in Sri Lanka that need urgent help. Our donations are the only income that these families have in order to sustain themselves. BECAUSE WE DON´T WANT TO LET OUR PEOPLE DOWN, we have launched this campaign to support them. LET´S GIVE THEM A CHANCE!
Due to CORONA PANDEMIC, Sri Lankan borders are shut down and without clients, we have no income, and without income, our families are not able to sustain themselves. Our Kite school provides job opportunities, education, and infrastructure to many people from our community and now we are having a really bad time due to the CORONA. Last year in May, horrible terrorist attacks that occurred in Sri Lanka have affected negatively the tourism a lot and our last summer kite season was terribly affected. AGAIN, due to the corona pandemic, the tourism industry has stopped abruptly and we are struggling a lot in order to maintain the jobs and the projects we are involved in. Sri Lankan authorities are not helping in this matter
*** Our Story ***
Margarita kite school started with effort and passion as a 2 rooms small guest house in Kalpitiya by 6 years ago. Throughout all our story, we have left our footprint in this community and have improved the living conditions and situation of many people
We are very proud to provide direct and indirect work to many families in the community. However, now we are really touched by the CORONA PANDEMIC and hard times are dawning us. We need your support!

In addition to providing work, we have contributed to the benefits of the community in many ways. Since our beginnings we have always helped to change the community and to improve the situation of many people around us. By helping us, you will also be contributing to the welfare of our community

* Providing English lessons to neighboring children for their better future
* Activitly collaborating with foundations that take care of kalpitiya´s streetdogs
* Financial help to the construction of a classroom for 20 children
* Environmental awareness to the smallest of the neighborhood
* Help for road maintenance
* Teaching kitesurfing to local people for their better future

1-Rasikha family Purchase of fishing nets for Rasikha family (rescue & boatman) 80,000 rupees
Rasikha is not only our boatman and the guy who takes care of our kiters at the beach, he is also a talented fisherman. Because Rasikha has no income now that´s why we have decided to support him with a fishing net in order to have an income for his family.

*** Where we are located. Difficulties of the area ***
We are located in Setthawadi, a small fishing village of Kalpitiya - Sri Lanka . This area is quite forgotten by the authorities and up to now we have no proper roads nor water supply. The roads are not paved in our neighborhood and we have shutdowns very often. Despite of these difficultes, thoughout these years we have been able to overcome them until now
