<div>Hi everyone, my name is TJ Kownack and I’m reaching out with a bold dream: <strong>to win at the IBJJF World Masters 2025</strong>, the pinnacle of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. At over 50 years old, I’m chasing this goal to prove it’s never too late to set ambitious targets and push your limits, no matter your age.

<div>Jiu-Jitsu transformed my life. A few years ago, I was battling diabetes and reliant on an insulin pump. Through relentless dedication to martial arts, I’ve lost 75 pounds, reversed my diabetes, and am no longer on insulin. This sport saved my life, giving me health, resilience, and purpose.

<div>My journey began at 40 when I started Jiu-Jitsu, and since then, I’ve embraced every challenge as a martial artist—taking on tournaments, training relentlessly, and pushing my body and mind to new heights. I even started MMA at 44! Now, I’m ready to take on the world’s best in the Masters 5 (50+) division.
