<div>Hello! We are fundraising for our dear friend Tina Strarup, who has always been a real character full of compassion, loyalty, and hilariousness and a good friend to many – and now she needs our help because she is facing a major surgery (total hip replacement).

<div>Tina is a workhorse, and she started her own metalworks business and grew it into a successful landscaping business. Friends and clients love seeing her drive up in her huge red truck with a “Real women drive trucks” bumper sticker, full of smiles and jokes.

<div>Well that kind of came to an end in the last few years because Tina has been dealing with multiple illnesses, including a blood disorder that could turn into cancer, and debilitating constant pain in her right hip. She began having difficulty walking and of course this has taken a huge emotional toll on her. After seeing endless types of doctors and exams like MRIs, etc. they finally figured out that she had a total hip fracture. After many treatment procedures failed, her orthopedic surgeon finally decided in June 2025, it was time to have surgery because her hip had become completely fractured. The last few months she has been basically disabled- she can barely walk or take care of herself as well as not being able to drive due to pain and weakness. Then came all the red tape with insurance!! Hours and hours of phone calls she had to make just to try to get surgery. Tina fears surgery because she has a low platelet blood disorder and has not had good experiences with pain meds in the past. Besides the hip she has felt very fatigued and has no appetite and a rheumatologist said she may have fibromyalgia on top of everything else.

<div>Tina is embarrassed to even ask for donations because she's been self sufficient all her life. She wants to WORK AGAIN AND LIVE HER LIFE. Her medical bills are piling up and draining her savings. Countless Dr's appointments, MRI's, CT scans, and extensive bloodwork every six months have been hugely expensive, and as we all know, our health insurance system is not good.

<div>Our goal is to raise money to help cover the hip surgery, hospital stay, rehabilitation and physical therapy, home health care until she is back to normal, post surgical Dr's appointments, and supplemental income until she is ready to get back to her Affinity Metalworks landscaping business and therapy practice. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
