<div>We are reaching out with love and hope to ask for your support during a challenging time for our family. My brother-in-law, Tim, is facing a life-changing kidney transplant. While we are so grateful that he is receiving the care he needs, the journey ahead comes with many unexpected financial burdens.

<div>Tim’s wife—my sister—must travel several hours to and from the hospital in San Francisco to be by his side. This means staying in hotels, paying for gas and meals, and managing time away from their kids and responsibilities at home. The travel doesn’t end after the surgery—Tim will need follow-up appointments in San Francisco twice a week for the first few weeks, then once a week for several months. These trips are essential for his recovery but add significantly to the strain on their family.

<div>On top of that, with Tim unable to work during his recovery, and my sister needing to take care of him, she won’t be able to work as much either. That makes covering their household bills, childcare costs, and additional medical expenses even more difficult.
