Hey guys. My name is Tyler Fitzgerald. I own and coach the Tucson Hawks Development Basketball team.
On Saturday night at about 3 a.m., one of our newer players, Timothy, was stabbed in Phoenix while out and about with his wife and friends.
Timothy had offers to play overseas in Mexico and Europe and wanted to go out go Karting with his family and friends one last night before beginning a month-long training regimen to begin preparing for a pro showcase in Dallas on April 26.
However, last night, Tim's plans were put on standby as he now fights for his life.
He was stabbed in his arm, cutting his artery, and is currently going through surgery to fix some clotting issues.
Tim came to the Tucson Hawks to get away from the violence in Phoenix and to focus on building his career as an athlete to provide for his kids.
Tim scored 12 fourth-quarter points in his last game and finished the day with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 16 minutes played. He has displayed leadership and resilience on the court.
His family requests privacy right now. Tim has a wife and 3 small children who request prayers.
We are raising money to help Tim's family with medical costs, rental assistance, and any other costs that may help their family through the process.
Every single cent will go to his family. Please help us take some of their worries away.
