Hi everyone, this is Keri, one of the owners of Common Beat Music. Recently, our beloved shop-kitty Tic Tac needed an emergency vet visit for her annual holiday UTI, and while there, more tests were run on her, showing that, in addition to a UTI, her kidneys are showing signs of failure. Furthermore, we also learned that she has hyperthyroidism, causing weight loss, and which may also contribute to dehydration and increased urination (which would just compound the symptoms of the UTI's she is prone to getting).

As usual with pets, this visit was unexpected and also an expense we weren't prepared for, as she will also need a follow-up visit soon to recheck her thyroid levels after this round of medication, and will likely need to continue with treatment for the rest of her life.
