Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Sykes, and I’m raising money for a cause that means a lot to me. I hope you'll consider joining me in supporting the 2025 Library Project for the Tibetan Children's Education Foundation (TCEF).

In January of this year I had the amazing good fortune to travel to India and visit several Tibetan monasteries, a school, and a boarding house for children of Tibetan refugee families living in India. That trip and the people I met there will remain in my heart for the rest of my life.

While there I learned about the work TCEF does to support the future of all Tibetans and their tireless efforts to raise funds to educate and support Tibetan refugees. One of the foundation’s primary goals is to ensure the children receive a comprehensive modern education steeped in traditional Tibetan values and culture premised on compassion, non violence and altruism. Values I think the world could use a little more of these days!

This goal here is to raise much needed funds to update and expand the library for the kids - including educational, reference and fiction books - to further the students' education and enjoyment. Many of these kids are from families who fled Tibet and are living as stateless exiles in Northern India without access to formal aid, education, or medical care. An education is nothing less than transformative for their lives - giving them the opportunity to succeed and flourish.

Please know that all donations will go directly to The Tibetan Children's Education Foundation, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan culture by supporting Tibetan schools and school children in exile from their homeland.
