Support Tia's Eagle Project at Eldorado Elementary School

I am a Life Scout in Troop 97G in New City. My Eagle Project will benefit Eldorado Elementary School in the East Ramapo Central School District. This is a public school which houses over 600 third to sixth grade children. My project is to refurbish and reorganize the storage in their food and clothing pantry as well as to build a more functional mobile cart for the school store. I plan to clean and repaint the space to make it more welcoming. I will build shelving on one wall, extend an existing built-in shelving unit, create a hanging area for coats, and build durable storage boxes for clothing donations to increase storage capacity. A new mobile cart will be designed and built to store and transport items to the cafeteria from the school store. I will also create a sign with the school mascot to display on top of the cart. These projects will make the donation closet and pantry more functional, safer, easier to maintain, and support the school in fostering positive relationships with the students and families by providing a place where they can easily access needed items.
