Support through Unimaginable Loss for Cerah Nolan

Donation protected
Three months ago, May 13, Cerah Nolan and Pedro Ferreiro Sperb tragically lost their 7-month-old daughter Ceren.

The death set in motion a series of more devastating losses- their two-year-old Pacal was taken by Child Protective Services. They lost their home, as it was made into a crime scene, underwent investigation, and then they were asked to leave.

Cerah had been tandem breastfeeding prior to losing Ceren, and when Pacal was also gone, she went through the weaning process de facto with no babies to feed.

Pedro, who is Brazilian, was completing his Master's degree at University of Irvine. They were planning to move to NY so he could complete a doctorate in musical education at Eastman School of Music, which would ensure his VISA status. Pedro cannot work or he will lose his VISA.

Their son has been returned to them now, and they have been cleared of charges but are living in the wake of it all.

Cerah and Pedro are living separately, one with each of her parents, as they deal with the immeasurable pressure of how to traverse the immigration laws, care for their son, and earn a living in the wake of this tragic loss.

Your contribution will go towards immigration lawyers, a deposit on a new living situation, rent and living expenses (food and gas) so that Cerah and Pedro can be together as a family with their son, while they figure out how to be together and how to restructure their lives.
