Support Theo's Heart Journey

We have 2 kids; Kora (3) and Theo (2 months) Papelbon. As of October 31st, our son Theo was admitted to Nebraska Children’s Hospital due to Congenital Heart Disease. During Theo's 2-month check-up, his pediatrician noticed a slight heart murmur that led to a radiology appointment. There, we found out from a cardiologist that he had a few heart defects and the most concerning was a coarctation of his aorta. Due to the severity of these conditions, it had become prevalent he needed open-heart surgery. Doctors had said it was a miracle he had survived this long with this going on in his heart. Theo had his first surgery on November 12 and was thankfully able to make it home just before Thanksgiving. We still have a long road of recovery and doctor visits but the first step was getting back home. We ask that anyone and everyone who comes across our story to keep our family and son in your thoughts and prayers. No one should ever have to go through something like this with their kid, but any support means the world to us. My love and I understand the financial toll it can take on a family trying to stay afloat during a time like this. Any type of contribution is greatly appreciated!
