In the fifteen years since we opened, we have worked hard to be the yarn, fiber and fabric shop we felt this community deserved: A shop filled with beautiful yarns, fiber, fabric, buttons and notions, inspiring classes, fun events, social groups, a passionate staff and a meaningful place within the community. Over the years, we have proudly created jobs, brought the world's best designers to NH, paid our fair share of taxes, supported small and independent hand-dyers, designers and artisans, given back and supported creativity in the schools and guilds, and built a community of fiber enthusiasts that is just simply amazing!
We need your help. Yarn and Fiber is geared up as a downtown shop for in-store purchases… this is how we stay open. Due to Covid-19 and the fact that we are closed to the public for at least five weeks (at a minimum), we will run out of cash to pay our rent, utilities, payroll, liabilities and vendors.
We are asking for your immediate support. All emergency savings will be used to make sure we stay open. But as the future is uncertain, we are not sure we can maintain it on our own this time. I have looked into the government business loans, but without knowing when we can reopen, it is difficult to add more financial strain to the business. We are using this fundraising campaign as an additional effort to support the shop.
Funds given to this campaign will help us get through this crisis and make sure we can ultimately reach our goal, which is to keep this business afloat and exist in downtown Derry, NH for another fifteen years. This campaign will help support Yarn and Fiber both in the immediate and over the next several months.
If you can give any amount, we are truly grateful. If not, there are other ways to support us and other small shops facing these situations like buying gift certificates that can be used when this crisis has ended and sharing a kind thought, or a memory of how enriching a small business can make a difference in your world.
