<div><strong> Support Third Queer Culture: A Lifeline for Queer Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Australia</strong>
</div>
<div>Third Queer Culture (TQC) is a free, peer-led group for <strong>LGBTIQA+ </strong>people from <strong>refugee</strong> and <strong>asylum-seeking</strong> backgrounds. We create a safe space where culture and queerness are not in conflict, but celebrated together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our mission is to support people in their settlement journey through healing, connection, and belonging. Every activity we run is built by and for our community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What We Do:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>One-on-one Peer Support</strong>: Starting in 2025, trained peer consultants will provide confidential, culturally safe support to help queer refugees rebuild their lives, find mental strength, and gain the confidence to advocate for themselves and others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Workshops for the Community:</strong> Educational workshops that raise awareness, build skills, and promote inclusion among both our members and wider communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Events &amp; Social Connection:</strong> Picnics, creative spaces, movie nights, and more wellbeing activities to reduce isolation and build lasting friendships.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Trainings for the Sector: </strong>We educate service providers and stakeholders on how to work in inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming ways with LGBTIQA+ refugees and asylum seekers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why We Need Your Support</strong>
</div>
<div>Our community has survived war, displacement, and discrimination. But arriving in Australia is just the beginning. Many still face isolation, trauma, language barriers, and systems that don’t fully understand their needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your donation, we can:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Expand our peer support program
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Offer free training to improve mainstream services
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Keep all of our programs free, safe, and led by lived experience
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>TQC </strong>is auspice by <strong>QPASTT</strong>, a statewide charity supporting survivors of torture and trauma. All funds go directly to supporting our work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Help us build a world where queer refugees don’t just survive — they thrive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation makes a difference.
