Cassidy and Lance West are devoted parents who have always put their three daughters first, and have even extended their kindness to other parents in their community, myself included. Now, they are facing an incredibly difficult chapter: their newborn baby girl has been diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia and MAPCA—a complex heart condition that will require her to be transferred to Stanford facility in California for surgery.
This diagnosis has turned their world upside down. Cassidy will need to take an extended leave from work and stay in New Orleans for the birth and recovery, while Lance remains in Mississippi to care for their other two girls and work when he can. The separation, combined with the emotional and financial strain, is overwhelming. Hospital bills, travel expenses, meals, housing, and the need for comfort and rest for Cassidy are just a few of the many challenges they are facing. As a mama, I can’t imagine going through this, and I want Cassidy to be as comfortable as possible. Lance will also need extra support as he manages work and caring for their daughters while Cassidy is away.
Cassidy and Lance have always been there for others, and now it’s our turn to support them. Please consider helping the West family as they navigate this difficult journey. Your generosity will help ease their challenges and bring them one step closer to normalcy. Every bit of support makes a difference—thank you for standing with them.
