<div>On Thursday, July 11, 2024, my cousin, Devenish, and three of her children were on their way to Harlem Hospital to take a home-cooked meal to those of us visiting our terminally ill aunt in the ICU when her family was struck by a driver while crossing the street. Her daughter, Jaynelyse Valdez, who was turning 4 years old this Monday, July 15th, tragically lost her life. She is remembered by those who knew her as the sweetest, smartest, and happiest girl who was loved immediately by anyone who met her. The families are absolutely devastated.
