Sometimes in life when you have given to so many there becomes a moment when it’s time for you to receive back. The Tuggle family has such a strong faith and family bond! Prayers are gonna be needed! Randy has been experiencing stomach pains/attacks for about a month now. He has been seen by his primary care physician. Initially the symptoms were attributed to the stress of his father passing away about a month and a half ago. After a few attempted interventions and no success he was sent to the ER on Thursday January 31st. He was going to be sent home until they received some blood work back that indicated his pancreatic enzymes were elevated. He was then admitted and went through scans and ultra sounds and lots of tests only to be told they still weren’t sure what was going on. Then on the day of his discharge they came in to tell him that his CA19-9 blood test had come back significantly high. This blood test is a cancer marker for pancreatic cancer. They were devastated and then sent home to wait until Thursday Feb 7th for an endoscopic exam. Waiting until that exam was grueling, but not as grueling as when the scope was over and the doctor delivered the news that it was indeed pancreatic cancer. It wasn’t what anyone wanted to hear and it was scary. Thankfully they have presented the family with some options to try and shrink the tumor and then remove it. It won’t be easy AT ALL and it will be a long road. But it is one we all are believing that through prayer and support Randy can do it!
