In a city frequently burdened by political and personal stress, Mr. Troxler and his beloved late wife, Kathleen Troxler, consistently offered a sense of calm, kindness and steadfastness. It was not uncommon to see Mr. Troxler tending to his garden or mowing his lawn, and often those of his neighbors, without seeking anything in return. He consistently demonstrates a friendly demeanor, always ready to offer an encouraging word or lend an ear to the neighborhood children as they discuss their sports activities.

 On Monday, August 3, Mr. Troxler, his son and granddaughter, experienced a profound loss when their house was engulfed in flames.
